Unicorns on the Cob

How would you feel if I gave you 1,343 puppies right now?

What if you had 1,343 maw-maws?

But that wouldn't matter!
Because you would get
OR
So why am I asking you this?

I am trying hard right now not to show emotions because it could trigger my bionics, but I would like to show a certain amount of graciousness to you for reading my little blog and sharing and retweeting my stories.  As a thank you, I am giving each of you a puppy.
I also promised to share some things with you from another post about growing your blog and your wealth.  When I first got started blogging 3 months ago I bought a book from The Simple Dude for only $1.99!  It is called "Grow Your Blog." I totally jumped on that!  What did I have to lose? 2 bucks? There are some useful tips in there and even if you aren't interested in the book, his site is funny so check him out! (Yes, I will be doing more posts on blogging, etc.).

Also, I want to share with you guys another book I bought from another blog that is way too funny not to tell you about it because I think it would be perfect for your mom or maw-maw for mother's day coming up! Seriously, if you love your maw-maw...this is the perfect gift.  The site is one of my favorites and it is MOV.  Maw-maw will thank you and she will probably need my address to send me some cookies.

I also would like to share another great blog-- Stephanie at Clay Baboons.   Her site completely rocks and she is one of my biggest cheerleaders so please visit her.  There are a couple of others who gave me awards and I have something else planned for them at another time as not to give my post "gratefulness overload."

So here is a recap of everything we discussed for you to do right away:

If you really want your socks to be knocked off, check out this video from Britain's Got Talent:

"Don't judge a book by its cover."

I would like to give special thanks to my friend Working Dan and Dude Write for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful experience!

  1. Congratulations, but I think I'll pass up on the puppy; I've got enough on my plate with a Demon Chihuahua. ^.^

And unfortunately, the apartment I live in doesn't allow pets.

    Who wants my puppy? =P

  5. I,too, have to (regrettably) pass on the puppy (I have 3 of my own and Johnny Cash would be most unhappy if I brought another one home). Congratulations!

  6. oh.......... that video........! Not a good idea to put it at the end of a post, because it just pulls you in and flies away with all your emotions... I can't think right now. Amazing and so touching - thanks!

  10. You said 1343 puppies and all I could think was what a mess they would make. Guess that doesnt make me a puppy person, but thank you for the kind thought.
SD is awesome, I have been following his blog for a very long time now.
    Congrats on your sucess

  11. We have dog overload (I wrote overlord the first time but perhaps that's true too) in this house but I'm definitely going to tell my husband you said I can get another one. I don't think he'll want to send you cookies.

  12. You did get quite a lot of Diggs there, well done on that. I'd consider the mothers day thing but we've already had ours.

  13. You are verY generous! I was hoping for a unicorn, but I dn't win a lot of prizes so the puppy is great too!

  14. Wow! That is such an acheivement. I don't think that I'll ever reach that amount without first, sacrificing some nubile virgins and offering them up to the Norse God Odin, so a MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS!

I would like all the maw maws. I miss mine.

  23. After just having to give my dog an bath because she rolled in something dead I don't think I want a puppy. Because now I am wet and unhappy. I'll take the unicorns please.

  24. I volunteer to take the puppies that people cannot have. Congrats to you, but that post deserved the attention. :)

  29. I just got myself a puppy from a shelter so I'll pass on the puppy, but there's NO WAY you're keeping all the unicorns to yourself! :) Proud of you and your fabulous blog!

  30. The story was the best-written I have read about Trayvon so far. You have a great talent for writing about serious and non-serious issues.

Not a lot of writers can ride both sides of the fence like you can and succeed so well at it. Your blog is happy, sad, fun and a blast to be a part of!

    Thanks Tracie for being you!

  31. Oh look, a Unicorn...oh look, a puppy...
You rock Tracie- PETA probably hates you, but you're my hero:)

  32. As I am certainly game to send you 1343 pennies (dollars are a bit out of my price range) in token of your wonderful accomplishment, it would seem the postage and lack of a address are working against it. I have given you 1343 "way to go's" and 1343 "high fives" if that counts for anything.

Pretty impressive to get that kind of following so quickly. Your blog is awesome so I am not surprised but with the 100's of thousands of blogs out there to have gained an audiance so quickly is enviable X 1343.

  33. I love that people are shocked that ugly people have talent. "Look, honey, that creature can make noises far prettier than it ever could be."
Congratulations to you. You can mail my puppy riding a unicorn whenever you get around to it.

You are my blogging mentor/hero/idol in the ways of blogging and I hope that when my blog grows up it is as successful as yours! :D

  45. That's a lot of hits or digs or whatever. I love your blog. Do you get money for this? I like reading some blogs and have friends that visit, but I am curious to understand the motivation for procuring a big readership. Lately my readership is growing like crazy, but I have no idea why?.

    1. I don't get any money from blogging. Just the satisfaction of knowing people are glancing at it every once in a while and not sending me death threats as a result of it is good enough for me.

If your readership is growing, that is good! You are very active in a lot of blogs, maybe that's why...

  46. I don't even know what digs is? What is it? But the thought of 1,343 unicorns kinda scares me. 1,343 puppies now that is a whole other thing! How about 1,343 sea lions? They're just like puppies but under water (you don't want to play with them above water, I'm sure they smell pretty nasty) Congrats though. Whatever digs is. I'm sure it's a big thing because I don't think my blog is on digs. But I am pimped out in Simple Dude's book though. I do dig that! ;)

  50. WOW!! I expected to go "oh wow, meh" on the singing thing because I could see that I was supposed to be surprised. But I was really surprised. I thought he'd be a good singer, but HOLY GUACAMOLE. What a beautiful voice. I love opera and they were both beautiful. I don't have a television so I hadn't seen this. Thank you!

Also I had been out of town so I hadn't seen your funny post. I just adore you :)

I think your giving out of puppies at the pound is just perfect. POUND PUPPIES are the best puppies!!

  54. Hmmm, a puppy? I do want to receive this gift, but I currently have 9 critters. I'm pretty sure one more will push me over the edge. Oh and my check to you for $1343 is in the mail... I don't recommend holding your breath waiting for that to arrive. I'm pretty sure it takes a really long time for mail to travel from my location to yours.

Anyhoo - congrats on the Diggs. You deserved them all.

  60. Oh jesus. My brain exploded. I got stuck in a time-space continuum. I thought MOTHER'S DAY IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER?! And I kind of forgot who and where I was for a minute. Then I checked the date.

    OIC.

Well congrats again on the success as always :) I think I would be okay with just ONE unicorn because I can't afford to feed more than one, really. They eat only diamonds and fairydust, right? I only have a little of that.

  61. The Simple Dude is awesome. I also read his book. I'm glad you made it to Dude Write. The Dudes here are great and when we said pick two, I knew tht we would miss some great blogs, but I am glad you were representing. I love the handmade pictures.

And unicorns of course. I have Pinky after all.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I don't know what Diggs is either. But it must be great and congrats to you! I already have a puppy as well and I think if I had 1343 of them, I for sure would get no attention around here, but at least my husband drives a pink Hoe so they surely could all go for a ride at once. Unicorns on the cob would take up too much room and I just don't have a yard for that. But 1343 maw maws would be awesome!
